Samsung Announces Three New Apps for its Galaxy Smartwatches: Samsung Wallet, Thermo Check and WhatsApp
The South Korean based multi-national tech company, Samsung is expected to unveil its latest Galaxy Watch 6 series smartwatches at the brand’s 27th Galaxy Unpacked Event, and ahead of the grand launch, Samsung has announced three new applications for its Galaxy smartwatches among which, two come with upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 series devices.

Samsung Wallet, Thermo Check, and WhatsApp
First speaking about the two applications that are coming with the Galaxy Watch 6 series devices, the first is the Samsung Wallet app. The latest app will enable its users to make payments, provide IDs, and also allows them to use show tickets. The app is considered as a replacement for the Samsung Pay app already available on existing Galaxy smartwatches however, Samsung hasn’t announced anything regarding the app coming to its Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 line-ups.
The Thermo Check app is the second application that will be coming with the Galaxy Watch 6 series devices. It will first be made available on the Galaxy Watch 6 series smartwatches and later will be expanded to the Galaxy Watch 5 devices as well. As per what has been revealed by Samsung, the app will make use of the device’s infrared technology to measure the temperature without any physical contact. This means that, just by pointing the watch to the object that is to be measured, be it a cup of tea or the water in a swimming pool, the device will be able to measure the temperature without physically coming into contact with it.
Finally coming to the last app that has been announced by Samsung, it is known that WhatsApp has been in the works to introduce its smartwatch app and now the app has been made available on Samsung’s existing smartwatch line-ups. If you are a user of the Galaxy Watch 4 series or Watch 5 series devices, you’ll be able to download and use the latest WhatsApp smartwatch app on your Galaxy Watch device.
