WhatsApp introduces “WhatsApp Channels”; end-to-end encryption, privacy measures and other
WhatsApp is planning on launching “WhatsApp Channels”, a new option in the app. These channels will be capable of representing individual accounts and certain communities. So, whether it is your one-man business or a larger initiative, represent your motive with your channel.
The feature is distinct from your chats. You can find the respective channels of your interest that you want to follow in the new update.
If you set up a channel, you don’t need to worry about your phone number being private. Along with it, if you follow a channel, the admin or channel won’t be aware that you are following that particular channel either.
Staying up to date and staying private aren’t mutually exclusive.

WhatsApp has highly prioritized privacy lately. In this regard, they have also made sure that channel chats don’t get stored for too long, similar to private chats. WhatsApp channel chats would be removed after 30 days.
A user would also get the option to choose whether someone can follow you, if you want to stay hidden, or whether to accept a follow request or not.
Like private chats, WhatsApp also plans to make sure that end-to-end encryption is maintained for channel chats as well.
Channels might be one of the most innovative and effective platforms for a lot of marketing domains and WhatsApp as well.
