Nokia laptops to have reportedly received BIS Certification; speculation for launch in India circulating
Great news for all the Nokia lovers out there as the Finnish smartphone company may soon launch its laptops in India.
According to reports, a few of the Nokia laptops have received the Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification. BIS certified the supposed laptops on 27 November. This proves to be a solid indication that the laptops are coming to India. As per the BIS listing, the Nokia laptops will be manufactured by Tongfang Limited in China.
Mukul Sharma, a known tipster, whose Twitter handle goes by the name @stufflistings spotted the BIS listing. Via a series of tweets, he speculated that Nokia may launch as many as nine laptop models.
According to the BIS listing shared by Mukul, nine laptops with codenames NKi510UL82S, NKi510UL85S, NKi510UL165S, NKi510UL810S, NKi510UL1610S, NKi310UL41S, NKi310UL42S, NKi310UL82S, and NKi310UL85S are shown. The first two letters in the codename represent Nokia, while the next two indicate the processor, and the number 10 in the may mean Windows 10, reports state.
Apart from this nothing else is known about Nokia laptops. If reports are to be believed, we do not know when the company would launch the laptops. Recently, many other Nokia products have also received their BIS certification. Last week, it was also reported that the Nokia 9.3 PureView was spotted in a BIS certification listing. The Nokia 9.3 PureView had a model number TA-1288 on the BIS list. This device will offer a 120Hz display and a 108-megapixel primary camera along with 8K video recording capabilities.
