All Eligible Google Pixel Devices to Receive the Android 14 Update this Month: Roll-Out Begun
Google had officially released its latest Android 14 operating system a few days back and only a selected few Pixel devices had received the update. By the end of this month, Google will be rolling it out to all the eligible Pixel devices.

Android 14 Update for Pixel Devices
All the eligible Pixel devices that are running on the Android 13 operating system will receive the OTA update for the Android 14 operating system, depending on the carrier and the model, this month itself. Once the update is made available, users will be notified of it.

Apart from updating the device to the latest Android 14 operating system, the update will also be bringing certain system improvements and fixes as well.
System Improvements and Fixes
- System
The update will bring general improvements for system stability and performance in certain conditions, and also during device setup. The issues causing certain apps to crash when the device is rotated, certain apps to stop responding, and also the issue causing the device to restart on its own, will be fixed.
- User Interface
General improvements for performance and stability, and also numerous UI fixes for various known issues are also part of the update.
- Apps
General improvements in terms of stability or performance in certain system applications.
- Framework
The issue preventing the device from completing backup will be fixed, along with general improvements to minimize the battery consumption of background apps.
- Connectivity
General improvements and the fix for the issue which prevented Bluetooth tethering from being turned on will be provided.
- Telephony
General improvements for network connection stability as well as for performance stability. Multiple issues like calls ringing while DND mode is activated, phone number to display as “Unknown” on “About Phone”, eSIM not being activated, handover to VoLTE from Wi-Fi calling to not work properly, not being able to disconnect a call, issue caused when a SIM card is inserted, call history not being updated, will all be fixed.
- Wi-Fi
The issue caused when an incorrect Wi-Fi password is typed in will be fixed.
- Bluetooth
Issues ranging from Bluetooth functions to stop working abruptly, the device to reboot when it is paired with a keyboard, Bluetooth device to disconnect at times, music to sound different over some Bluetooth devices, to the issue where the Bluetooth icon won’t show connected on a Google Pixel Watch, will be fixed. Other general improvements for battery usage and charging when the Bluetooth connectivity is turned on, are also present.
- NFC
Issue causing digital car keys to not properly function in certain scenarios will be fixed.
- Display & Graphics
General improvements in the device’s display stability, as well as many fixes for various other issues.
- Camera
General improvements along with the fix for the issue which caused camera to open delayed with Quick Tap function.
- Audio
The issue causing audio crashes will be fixed.
- Media
The issues causing video playback errors and which prevented volume buttons from working, will be fixed. Other general improvements are also present.
- Sensors
The update will fix the issues that occasionally caused lock screen to stop responding and NFC from triggering.
- Touch
The issue which caused some apps to open while the device is unlocked with the fingerprint will be fixed.
- Biometrics
Improvements for fingerprint recognition and response, fix for issue that prevented from accessing “Face Unlock” in “Settings”, and other additional improvements for face unlock stability.
- Battery & Charging
General improvements along with the fix for the issue which causes devices to reboot in certain conditions.
