Android 13 QPR2 Beta 1 is definitely going to bring in some good surprises
The beta version of Android 13 second quarterly update includes desktop mode work, a new Back gesture animation, independent ringtone and notifications volume settings, and many more features.
With each new Android Beta release, there are frequently a number of new features that everyone may experience as soon as the update is loaded. The features are:
Back gesture animation-
Since Android phones introduced gesture navigation back in 2019, the back gesture has remained largely the same, with a simple arrow flashing on the side of the screen to signal that your current swipe will return you back.
‘Quick Launch–
When you type the name of an app on your phone, you can press the Enter key (also on Gboard) to open that app automatically.
Volume control for the ringtone/notification
With a single command, you can enable the volume of the ringtone and notifications. Once activated, the Volume section of the Settings app now lists ringtone and notification levels separately.
Taskbar redesign
This is the most significant upgrade and allows you to keep your favorite apps accessible.
The desktop mode
All apps in desktop mode are treated as if they were placed in freeform windows and can be dragged around the screen. To assist with this, each program window gets a new control bar with handy controls.
Home screen organization revamp
On the home screen, the “Remove” and “Uninstall” drag targets have been moved from the top to the bottom. On Android 13, these settings are now out of reach of the thumb, resulting in a good improvement for one-handed use.
Grayscale Material Your theme
with the new version comes a new “monochromatic” (or grayscale) theme option in Android 13 QPR2 Beta 1. According to what we can tell, the motif is made up of two colors: #666666 and #333333, which are light and dark shades of grey, respectively.
The first beta of Android 13 (QPR1) is now out, providing a preview of what the next Pixel Feature Drop upgrade will entail to its users. It has been made available for testing on compatible devices to check that the capabilities work properly.
