Apple rolled out the much awaited iOS 17.1 update, introducing new features, and improvement

Apple has recently rolled out the much-awaited iOS 17.1 update today. This update brings a host of new features and bug fixes. Its release date was disclosed in a recent blog post by the French regulator Agence Nationale Des Fréquences (ANFR).

The iOS 17.1 update includes significant improvements in the AirDrop and Music apps, along with the introduction of some new features.

In the Music App, users now have the ability to add a star icon to any song, playlist, or artist. These selected songs will be added to your library and will automatically enhance recommendations.

This update also introduces a new customization option in the Display section under Standby in Settings. This allows users to set the display to turn off after 20 seconds or to remain on indefinitely. Additionally, the AirDrop feature can now be used over a cellular connection. The flashlight indicator will now be visible in the Dynamic Island on more iPhones than before.

Moreover, users in the UK will have the capability to add their debit and credit cards from selected banks to the wallet app. This will enable them to keep track of balances and transactions.

To download the update, users can navigate to Settings, where they will find the Software Update option under the General Tab. From there, users can tap on Automatic Updates, select Download iOS Updates, and then click on iOS Updates.
