Carl Pei Tweets from Phone (1) with the Nothing OS 2.0: Claims to be Smooth

Nothing CEO, Carl Pei tweets from the first generation Phone (1) with the Nothing OS 2.0 and has claimed that the device runs smoothly with the latest custom UI.

Here’s more about it.

Nothing Phone (1) – Nothing OS 2.0 Update

It has been confirmed that the UK-based tech company, Nothing will be rolling out the Nothing OS 2.0 custom UI based on the Android 13 operating system to its very first smartphone device, the Nothing Phone (1) by the end of August 2023, this month, and the brand has already started the Nothing OS 2.0 internal beta program for the device. Carl Pei, Nothing’s CEO and who had made these announcements via his official Twitter account, had mentioned that the Nothing Phone (1) users would have to wait a little longer and it is just a matter of time until the update is made perfect and ready to be rolled out.

Now, Carl Pei has tweeted from a Nothing Phone (1) running on the latest Nothing OS 2.0 and has mentioned that the UI experience on the device is so far good and this might be pointing out that the roll-out may start earlier than expected.

We are aware that the second generation and the brand’s second smartphone device after the Nothing Phone (1), the Nothing Phone (2), had launched pre-installed with the Android 13-based Nothing OS 2.0, and early this month, the Nothing OS 2.0.2 update was rolled out for the device.

Both devices are likely also going to receive the next Android 14 update as well and the Nothing Phone (1) had received the third beta update of the Android 14 operating system. To note, it was with the Beta 3 update that the OS achieved platform stability.
