ColorOS 14 Tipped to have a New Customizable Individual App Refresh Rate Feature
Google will soon be releasing the stable version of its Android 14 operating system, and the beta version has already achieved platform stability. Smartphone makers are now in the process of making their custom UIs based on the next Android OS, and many brands have also begun their closed beta and open beta programs.
OPPO, one of the leading Chinese smartphone makers, has also started its closed beta and open beta programs. The public beta testing has started for devices like the Find X6, Find X6 Pro, Reno 9 Pro, and OnePlus 11.
Now, a recent update has revealed a new feature that is coming to ColorOS 14. However, we have already seen it on devices from other Chinese smartphone brands.

ColorOS 14 – Customizable Individual App Refresh Rate
As per what has been revealed, the next version of the ColorOS 14 custom UI which will be based on the Android 14 operating system will support a customizable individual app refresh rate feature, with which, users will be able to adjust the refresh rates of apps separately, based on their requirements. It can be adjusted to 60Hz, 90Hz, or 120Hz, as needed.
As mentioned, this feature is never an entirely new feature as smartphone brands like Realme, Vivo, and Xiaomi have already made it available on their respective custom UIs based on Android (Realme UI, FuntouchOS, and MIUI, respectively).

Some of the other new features that are coming to ColorOS 14 are file transfer stations, lossless compressions & merges, flashback windows, and free windows.
