Fitbit Ace LTE Gets Family-Friendly Update Just in Time for the Holidays
Fitbit is making family fitness more fun and connected with its latest Ace LTE update, bringing new features that help families stay in touch and active together.
The standout addition is Family Chat, which lets parents and kids communicate directly through their Fitbit devices and the Ace app. Whether it’s coordinating dinner plans or sending quick encouraging messages, the whole family can now stay connected right from their wrists. Siblings haven’t been left out either – they can now message and call each other directly through their Ace LTE devices, perfect for those secret holiday gift planning sessions.
Getting active as a family becomes more engaging with the new Family Quests feature. During Thanksgiving, families can tackle the “Turkey Berserkey” challenge, where everyone’s movement contributes to collecting virtual Thanksgiving dinner items. The more the family moves together, the more tickets kids earn for their eejie rewards.
Working with Alliance for a Healthier Generation, Fitbit has added 50 new Daily Quests, offering bite-sized challenges that teach kids about sleep, nutrition, and even include trivia tasks covering topics from cooking to geography.
For gaming enthusiasts, the new Solar Sword game in Fitbit Arcade lets kids protect their village from monsters – with a twist. The more they move in real life, the more game time they unlock.
The update also includes two new Noodle watch faces that track kids’ daily movement goals, easily customizable with a long press on the device’s home screen.
Holiday shoppers can take advantage of some timely deals: The Google Store is offering $50 off Fitbit Ace LTE and $20 off Ace LTE bands from November 21 through December 4. Families with multiple children can get 50% off their second Ace Pass annual plan through January 31, 2025.
