Galaxy S23 smartphone gets One UI 6.0 March 2024 security update in US; One UI 6.1 expected to debut in April

Last month, the South Korean tech giant Samsung officially announced that it will be rolling out Galaxy AI features to more of its devices including the Galaxy S23 series through a new One UI 6.1 update. The update was said to be rolled out by the end of March and the Samsung users were eagerly waiting for this update so that they could experience the new Galaxy AI features.

Well, the users need to wait a bit more as Galaxy S23 received a March 2024 security update based on One UI 6.0 in the US yesterday.

The update arrives with firmware versions- S918USQS2BXBD/ S918UOYN2BXBD/ S918USQS2BXBD and the size of the update is 417.80MB. Other than integrating the latest security patch the update includes no other major improvements or changes.

The rollout of this update hints that Samsung might release the One UI 6.1 update in April 2024. The devices that were earlier confirmed to receive the Galaxy AI features with the One UI 6.1 update were the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.

For now, the users of the above-mentioned devices need to wait to hear the official announcement regarding the release of the One UI 6.1 update.
