New Android Logo
The American giant tech company, Google had previously updated its Android logo in 2019 and after four years of it, the brand is again updating it with a new wordmark and a new 3D Android robot head. The biggest change is the capitalized “A” in the wordmark and the brand has also made the “n” and “r” rounded, making it look similar to the 2008 and 2014 Android wordmarks.
The new change was officially first spotted in use by 9to5Google in an ad for Android, speaking about the first-party applications for the latest Galaxy S23 Ultra and the Galaxy Flip 4 devices, and now, again the new logo has been spotted in use in Google’s “Android App Safety – Always on protection” video shared recently by the brand.
However, it should be noted that Google had already showcased the new logo at the CES 2023 and also at the brand’s I/O developer conference 2023 events, along with many other expressive versions of the Android head, with different materials, and in different color themes.
Google has also now confirmed this new change with 9to5Google stating,
“We’re showcasing some elements of our new brand identity on various surfaces, including our CES booth from earlier this year and other campaign materials like digital & banner ads. We’ll have more to share in the coming months.”
It is likely that the new logo will arrive on the boot screen of Android devices and the brand might be waiting to bring the change along with the latest Android 14 operating system.
