Google’s November 2024 Update for Pixel Devices Fixes Bluetooth Range, Camera Tilt, and Display Issues
Google has initiated the rollout of its monthly software update for November 2024. All supported Pixel devices running Android 15 will receive these updates starting today, with the rollout continuing over the next week in phases, depending on carrier and device.

- Fix for issue occasionally preventing Adaptive brightness from activating in certain conditions*[3]

- Fix for issue in pressing the keyboard dismiss button in certain conditions*[3]

Fixes are available for all supported Pixel devices unless otherwise indicated below. Some fixes may be carrier/region specific.

Users will receive a notification once the system update is available for their device. Google encourages users to check their Android version and update to receive the latest software.
How to Check and Update Your Android Device
Check Your Android Version
- Open your device’s Settings app
- Near the bottom, tap About phone or About tablet > Android version
- Find your:
- “Android version”
- “Android security update”
- “Build number”
Install Available Updates
Option 1: Via Notification
When you receive an update notification:
- Open it and tap the update action
Option 2: Manual Check
If you missed the notification or were offline:
- Open your device’s Settings app
- Tap System > Software update
- Follow any on-screen instructions
Tip for Pixel Users:
- The menu may show “Software updates”
- Pixel 8 and 8 Pro users can use Google Assistant:
- Activate Assistant and say “Update my phone now”
Security & Google Play System Updates
Most updates install automatically, but you can check manually:
- Open your device’s Settings app
