HarmonyOS Next Public Beta Plan for Huawei Devices in 2025 Revealed Online

Huawei, the Chinese consumer electronics maker, has already made some of its devices eligible for the HarmonyOS Next public beta program and this year in 2025, more models will be receiving it. A tipster on the X-platform has now revealed the possible devices list.

Huawei Devices – HarmonyOS Next Public Beta Plan Eligibility in 2025

The HarmonyOS Next was introduced last year in October 2024 and in the same month itself the brand revealed few of the devices that will be made eligible for the open and closed beta programs. Among these, the Mate 60 series, Mate X5 series, and MatePad Pro 13.2″ series were provided with the HarmonyOS Next public beta eligibility on 8th October 2024, whereas the Pura 70 series, Pocket 2 series, and MatePad Pro 11″ 2024 models were made eligible for the public beta program on the 22nd of October 2024. Also to add, the latest Mate 70 series and Mate X6 devices also got the HarmonyOS Next public beta program eligibility in December 2024.

In 2025, this year, the Mate XT | Ultimate Design, nova Flip, Nova 13 series, Nova 12 series, MatePad Pro 12.2″, MatePad Air 12″, and MatePad 11.5″  S series devices are expected to get the HarmonyOS Next public beta update. Additionally, more devices will also be receiving it as per what has been revealed.

Speaking more, the HarmonyOS Next is considered to be a major upgrade over the previous custom skin and unlike this which is based on the Android operating system, the latest HarmonyOS Next is independent of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Notably, few of the key features include a revamped and fresh user interface with several enhancements to improve the user experience, improved privacy and security features with the help of the Star Shield architecture, upgraded performance with the Ark Engine, better cross device functionality relying on the Distributed Soft Bus feature, and equipped with over 15,000 native app support.
