Huawei Announces the HarmonyOS Next Public Beta Program for Mate 70 Series and Mate X6 Devices in China
Huawei, a leading Chinese consumer electronics maker, recently unveiled its Mate 70 series and Mate X6 foldable devices and now, the brand has announced the HarmonyOS Next public beta version update for the latest smartphones in China. Interested candidates of the mentioned devices can apply for the HarmonyOS Next public beta program via the My Huawei app and experience its latest features.

Huawei Mate 70 Series and Mate X6 – HarmonyOS Next Public Beta Update
Six latest Huawei smartphones which includes the Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro+, Mate 70 Ultimate Design/Mate 70 RS, Mate X6, and Mate X6 Collector’s Edition have been made eligible for the HarmonyOS Next public beta program. The registration portal has already opened for Mate 70 series smartphones today on the 4th of December 2024 at 10:08 AM local time, whereas it will open for the Mate X6 foldable devices two days later on the 6th of December 2024 at 10:08 AM local time.
In order to apply, visit the My Huawei app, and from the home page go to ‘Upgrade Early Access’ and tap on ‘Multi-device early adopter’. After successfully learning and registering for the public beta program, come to ‘Software Update’ and download it. Following the installation process, candidates will be able to experience the brand’s HarmonyOS Next on their respective devices.
Before applying and upgrading, users are also asked to keep certain things in mind. Make sure that the smartphone and the My Huawei app are running on their latest software versions. To avoid the chances of loss of data, it is also best to backup the device, and if there is any shortage of space, a cloud space is offered for 30 days. Also, after the update, certain apps may not function well or might not be available. Certain other issues may also be faced as this is a beta version, and proper feedback will have to be shared with the brand to resolve and further build the custom skin.
