Huawei Now Rolling Out New HarmonyOS Next Update for its Mate 60 Pro Smartphone

The leading Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Huawei, has started to roll out a new HarmonyOS Next update for its previous Mate 60 Pro smartphone device. The update brings a few added features for enhancing its user experience.

Huawei Mate 60 Pro – New HarmonyOS Next Update

The HarmonyOS Next update that has now been rolled out to Huawei’s Mate 60 Pro device has the firmware version of ‘5.0.0.130 SP6’, and it has a total size of 1.93 GB. As mentioned above, the update aims to enhance the user experience with a few new added features.

Firstly, the update will be bringing a remote photo shooting feature using a selfie stick on the Camera app. In Settings, battery level can now be display on full screen AOD mode, adds a data usage management system, allows users to disable ringtone for incoming calls, and also allows users to add VPN on Settings > More connectivity options > VPN. Moreover, users will also be able to set personalized ringtone for contacts.

On the system side, a Youth Mode has been added on the home screen which will enable parents to monitor the digital well-being of their child. A Raise to Answer feature has also been added for calls. The added One-Handed Mode will shorten the display, letting users easily operate the device with a single hand. Users will also be able to share apps easily from the home screen as well, by just holding the app icon on the home screen.

The Celia Search feature will also be offered the capability to search Settings items with just the description or its function, when users cannot recall the name. The issue of direct Celia Search access when the device is locked has been fixed, and the content loading speed has been improved. The auto answer feature that lets Celia to answer calls for users has also been added in the update.

Other changelogs include added emotional styles and illustrated background on the Calendar widget for official and certain Chinese holidays. On Files, Recent screen display has been optimized, network connectivity feature has been added onto the Browse screen, and optimized Search now supports search by category and filtering. The Browser will also be allowing users to share downloaded files and even view task details such as total size and download path.
