iOS 16.2 update enables 5G connectivity on iPhones in India on Reliance Jio & Airtel network

The new iOS update, iOS 16.2 by Apple, adds a new feature of 5G services available to the phone’s users. However this update will not be accessible to all Apple users. Phone models that are the more older iPhones, will not be able to get access to the new feature the company is offering to its users. As much as it offers newer features like new screen widgets and new app collaboration and many more exciting features.

Apple enabled 5G in India last month in the iOS 16 Beta software for a select few iPhone users in the country on a trial basis. Only a few users with Airtel and Reliance Jio connections were capable of testing the 5G network.  Users were supposed to update their device to iOS 16.2 for the 5G update to work.

Apple iPhone users can test 5G services on their phones by downloading the iOS 16.2 beta update; however, you must register for the beta testing  on the Apple website. Unfortunately, even if they install the iOS 16.2 beta software update, not each iPhone user will be able to connect to 5G. To get early access to 5G, iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 12, and iPhone SE.

iPhone users are going to enjoy amazingly download speeds and uploads, improved streaming, and legitimate connectivity with 5G to help them stay in touch, share, and enjoy the content according to Apple.

However, since the 5G services by Jio and Airtel are only accessible in select cities, users that update to this feature will only be able to access these services if the city has access to 5G towers. Telecom operators such as Airtel and Jio have expanded their 5G coverage in almost 50 Indian cities since the technology’s launch. Whereas most Android smartphone users have begun to receive an update already, the 5G network has only set to be readily accessible to iOS 16.2 users.
