LG Wing South Korean units are going to get final Android update Android 13

The decision of leaving the smartphone domain after losing $4.5 billion over five consecutive years sounds like a calculated decision by LG. It exited the smartphone market in 2021 but with a promise to deliver up to three Android updates for phones it released in 2019 and 2020.

This included LG’s flagship smartphone LG Wing which came into the market with the dual screen concept. This smartphone was launched in 2020 with the pre-installed Android 10, the next year it got Android 11 and in 2022 it received Android 12. Finally, now it’s all set to receive its latest Android update Android 13.

The update will be first rolled out for South Korean units and then for other regions’ units. The page announcing the update for the LG Wing is written in Korean that suggests its arrival in South Korea. If we talk about the features of this smartphone it comes with 6.8 inches wide main screen that features a 1080*2460 pixels resolution P-OLED display. The second display is 3.9 inches wide and carries a resolution of 1080*1240 resolution.

This update is going to bring these new things to the smartphone-:

Device control shortcut icons on the lock screen

Added preview, sharing, and text editing functions for copied text or images.

The Multi window function has been simplified.

The music and video controller displayed in the status notification has been improved.

As far as the previous update to the LG Wing is concerned, this smartphone’s recently added update brought support for Verizon’s C-band 5G service. So LG Wing users need to be ready to receive a new final Android update for the LG Wing.
