Microsoft Releases the February 2025 Security Update for Windows 11 (24H2, 23H2, and 22H2 Versions)

The February 2025 security update for Windows 11 users has now been released. New builds are available for Version 24H2, Version 23H2, and Version 22H2, and they basically address the security issues.

Windows 11 – Latest February 2025 Security Update Released
As mentioned, the February 2025 security update as pointed out above addresses a few security issues and for the Windows 11 Version 24H2, the ‘KB5051987’ build will be offered. On the other hand, users of the Windows 11 Version 23H2 or Version 22H2 will be given the ‘KB5051989’ build. Both the builds will also include improvements that were part of the ‘KB5050094’ build that was released last month on the 28th of January 2025.
Speaking more, in the ‘KB5051987’ build for Version 24H2, the update will be making certain miscellaneous security improvements to the internal OS functionality. In the ‘KB5051989’ build for Version 23H2 and Version 22H2, the issue with backups not running smoothly because of a delay has been fixed. Furthermore, for Version 24H2, the update includes other changelogs like enhanced previews for apps on the taskbar, easy time zone changing, Studio Effects quick open, File Explorer and mouse performance improvements, and more general improvements based on feedback. However, it also has to be noted that there are a few Roblox, Open Secure Shell Service, and Citrix issues and users are advised to follow the recommended workaround methods.
