Moto G73 receives new security update; includes fixes to framework and system vulnerabilities among many others
Motorola received a new Android Security update for the Moto G73. The new version comprises Android security patches up to 1 April 2023.
The Android Security patch up to 1 April 2023 caters to the following security vulnerabilities.
Firstly, the updated security patch includes fixes to framework vulnerabilities. Android security bulletin mentions that the most severe vulnerability in terms of the framework can cause a local escalation of privilege without the requirement of additional execution privileges. This exploitation can happen in itself without any user interaction.
Secondly, fixes to system vulnerabilities are also included in the updated security patch. Severe vulnerabilities in terms of the system will cause remote code execution. This will happen without any additional execution privileges.
The new security patch is also inclusive of certain project mainline component updates. Updates to google play system subcomponents like MediaProvider (CVE-2023-21093) and WiFi (CVE-2022-20463) are also included.
The new Android Security update, versioned as T1TN33.14-63-4 is 1.06 GB in size. It includes fixes to the mentioned security vulnerability sections of the device. Some users who have downloaded the update have stated that there is some minor improvement in the camera. And the best part is that the heating problem has also been reduced.
