Nothing Phone (1) also joins the NothingOS 3.0 club, update now rolling out

Those eagerly awaiting the Nothing OS 3.0 update for their Nothing Phone (1) should expect it soon. Nothing has announced the rollout of the NothingOS 3.0 for the Nothing Phone (1) on its official community page. The update comes with firmware version V3.0-250108-1938 and has a total size of 1.46GB.

Some users have already received the update today, while others can expect it shortly. The update introduces Shared Widgets, enabling Nothing device users to share and interact with Photo Widgets directly on their home screens. The lock screen now offers a customisation page, new clock face styles, and expanded widget space.

A new AI-powered Smart Drawer automatically organises apps into folders, with options to pin favourites at the top for quick access. Multitasking gets a boost with an enhanced pop-up view, enabling easy resizing, positioning, and quick notification previews.

The update also revamps the design with a redesigned Quick Settings panel, widget library, and updated Settings UI, while introducing new animations for fingerprint unlocking and charging.

Additional improvements include AI-driven app prioritisation, an auto-archive function for freeing storage, partial screen sharing, and predictive back animations for supported apps.

Changelog

Shared Widgets

🔮 Use widgets to link up with friends and family. See another person’s widgets displayed on your home screen and interact with each other through reactions. A new way to stay connected.

Shared Widgets are currently only supported between Nothing devices. And only Photo Widgets (square) can be shared. We are rapidly developing support for other widgets, so stay tuned!
