Nothing Phone(2) Receives Android 15 Developer Beta 1 Preview After Nothing Phone(2a)

Nothing has released the Android 15 Developer Beta 1 Preview for the Nothing Phone(2) smartphone. This has become the company’s second phone to receive it after the Nothing Phone(2a) smartphone. It’s in the early stage and is primarily for developers and other advanced users. The company does not recommend ordinary users to download it as it will format all your data.

On the basis of your software version you can download the corresponding Android 15 Beta update package so make sure to check it first

Steps to upgrade Android 15 Developer Preview

  1. Go to “Settings > About phone > Software info” to confirm that your system has the correct version:
    Phone (2): Nothing OS 2.5.5
  2. Create a folder named “ota” in your device’s internal storage directory.
  3. Copy the package to the “ota” folder.
  4. Go to your phone’s dial screen and enter the following code: *#*#682#*#*
  5. After dialing it a local update tool will open. In the drop-down list that appears, select the upgrade package you just copied.
  6. Tap the “Directly apply OTA from selection” button to start updating.
  7. Reboot your device
  8. Upgrade successful

With Android 15 Google aims to minimize the battery impact, maximize the smooth app performance, give a premium device experience, and protect privacy and security we just recently saw the announcement of the second beta of Android 15.
