It should first be noted that not all can be a part of the OxygenOS 14 closed beta program, but only the first 500 selected eligible candidates.

To apply, first, go to “Settings” and then click on “About device” and tap on “Up to date”. Go to the top right corner of the next window and then press on the icon given there, after which select “Beta program”. Following the necessary steps, you can submit the application.

OnePlus will be reviewing the application in about five days and if the user is found to be an eligible candidate, in the next three days, the OxygenOS 14 CBT update will be rolled out to the user.

Users will also be provided with a link to the telegram group of the OxygenOS 14 CBT team, where you can share your feedback with others. Feedback can also be submitted on the pop-up menu which appears by dialing “*#800#”.

Want to roll back to the previous version? It’s possible

Visit the OnePlus Community website and download the rollback package for the device with firmware versions – CPH2411_13.1.0.590(EX01) for Endurance Edition models and CPH2423_13.1.0.590(EX01) for the standard models.

After downloading the update package, users must turn on developer mode and then, go to “About device”, tap on “Up to date”, select the icon on the top right corner, and then press on “Local install”. Find the update package, extract it, and after that upgrade the device.

What should be kept in mind?

As this is a beta update, there are a lot of chances where bugs and other forms issues might be present. The chances of loss of data are also high and users must always keep their devices backed up. It should also be noted that rolling back will also wipe out the entire data, so be sure before updating with the beta version.
