OnePlus 12 Users Receive Major 1.25GB August 2024 Android Security Patch with Key Bug Fixes

OnePlus 12 users have been experiencing issues with device overheating, the Gmail app, and battery backup. To address these concerns, OnePlus is rolling out a new update for the OnePlus 12 that, according to users who have already received it, resolves these problems. However, these fixes are not explicitly mentioned in the changelog. It is currently unclear whether the update is being rolled out exclusively to Indian users or if it is being released globally.

The update also includes the August 2024 Android Security Patch. With a total size of 1.25GB, the update is currently in the rollout phase and should reach all users within a week.

The firmware version for this update is CPH2573_14.0.0.840(EX01). You can check if you’ve received it by going to the Settings page, selecting About Device, and clicking the blue ribbon. This will show if there is a new update available.
