OnePlus 12R Receives OxygenOS 14.0.0.832 Update: New Alarm Settings, App Cloning Features, and Security Patch

OnePlus has announced the rollout of OxygenOS 14.0.0.832 for the OnePlus 12R smartphone. The update, which carries the build number CPH2585_14.0.0.832(EX01), is currently being rolled out in batches across the Indian region. This latest OxygenOS update brings several improvements and new features to enhance user experience on the OnePlus 12R.

One of the key additions in this update is the ability to set a default alarm sound in the “Clock” app that applies to all alarms, simplifying managing multiple alarms. Users will also find a new option to set default app opening preferences for cloned applications, improving personalization and efficiency. The update expands the scope of fuzzy searching within the “App Cloner” feature, making it easier for users to find and clone desired applications. Furthermore, the September 2024 Android security patch has been integrated into the system, bolstering overall device security.

OnePlus is implementing a staged rollout strategy for this update. While it’s currently available in India, users from other regions can also expect this update soon. Users are encouraged to provide feedback directly in the announcement thread.

As with any system update, it’s recommended that users ensure their devices have sufficient battery charge and stable internet connection before initiating the update process. The rollout may take some time to reach all devices in the region due to its incremental nature. OnePlus 12R users in other regions should stay tuned for further announcements regarding the wider availability of this update.
