OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 9R Receive April 2024 OxygenOS 14.0.0.600 Update for India region only

The OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 9R are both receiving their respective updates for April 2024. The update has been rolled out only for the India region to a small batch at this time. And will soon have a broader rollout as per OnePlus. The update comes with a build number OxygenOS 14.0.0.600.

  • You can now press and hold the Volume Down button to turn the torch on when the screen is off.
  • You can now enter the first letter of an app name to perform a fuzzy search from the Home screen search bar in Drawer mode.
  • You can now adjust the volume for individual apps based on your needs.
  • Improves the volume bar’s design for ease of use and visual consistency.
  • You can now use fingerprint unlock without waking up the screen.
  • Improves system stability.
  • Integrates the April 2024 Android security patch to enhance system security.

Users in India can share their feedback about this update by dialing *#800# from their Google Dialer and selecting the “submit bugs” option. Both the OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 8T are in their last year of receiving updates as OnePlus promised three major Android upgrades and four years of security updates. This means the OnePlus 8T(launched in October 2020) will receive updates until October of this year, and the OnePlus 9R(Launched in March 2021) will retire in March of next year.
