OnePlus 9, 9Pro, and 9RT Devices Now Receiving the OxygenOS 14 Update in India

The Chinese smartphone makers, OnePlus, has started pushing the latest OxygenOS 14 stable version update based on the Android 14 operating system to its 9, 9 Pro, and 9RT flagships. The update will bring a lot of added features and improvements to the devices.

OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9RT – OxygenOS 14 Update

This OxygenOS 14 update for the 9, 9 Pro, and 9RT smartphones are currently being rolled out in the Indian region and carries the firmware versions – LE2111_14.0.0.201(EX01), LE2121_14.0.0.211(EX01), and MT2111_14.0.0.211(EX01) respectively. Also to note, the update will first be rolled out to the candidates who were part of the closed and open beta programs, and then will be gradually rolled out to others.

Changelogs

Regarding the changelogs, the Aquamorphic Design has been upgraded with a natural, gentle, and clearer color style. Aquamorphic-themed ringtones and revamped system notification sounds are also part of the update. The system animations have been made smoother as well. Improvements in system stability and launch speed of apps are also there in the update.

Coming to the security side, a photo and video related permission management system is being brought to the devices for safer access by apps. Shelf has been improved with more added widget recommendations too.

To improve the productivity of its users, OnePlus has also added a File Dock which allows them to drag and drop contents from apps and devices. A Fluid Cloud feature has been added too, enabling users to view up-to-date information with just a glance. The Content Extraction feature will also recognize and extract text and images from the device’s screen with just a single tap.

For the purpose of visualizing the carbon emissions that is avoided by walking rather than driving, OnePlus has also added a carbon tracking AOD(always-on-display) as well.

Others

Before updating, users must make sure that the device has at least 30% battery charge and 5GB of storage space left. If users prefer the previous OxygenOS 13, they will also be able to roll-back to it via locally installing the zip package downloaded from the respective OnePlus server. Feedback can be submitted on the pop-up menu which appears on dialing “*#800#”.
