OnePlus Nord 2 Receives November 2024 Security Update Despite Passing Initial Support Window
OnePlus has begun rolling out a new security update for the OnePlus Nord 2, marking another update delivery even after the extended support period. The update, labeled as OxygenOS 13 F.54, is currently being rolled out to users in India, with other regions scheduled to receive the update in the coming weeks.
The OnePlus Nord 2, which was launched on July 22, 2021, was initially promised two major Android OS upgrades and three years of security patch updates. Following these commitments, the device has already received its promised Android version upgrades. While OnePlus hasn’t announced an extended support period for security patches, it’s noteworthy that the device continues to receive updates.
The latest update carries the build number DN2101_11.F.54 for the Indian region and primarily focuses on system security improvements. Following OnePlus’s standard operating procedure, the update is being released incrementally, with a small percentage of users receiving it initially, followed by a broader rollout in the coming days.
