OnePlus Nord 2T 5G Now Eligible for OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 Program: Registrations Begun
OnePlus has now made the Nord 2T 5G smartphone eligible for the OxygenOS 14 open beta 1 program. The registration has begun and interested candidates can apply to be a part of it.
Here’s more about it.
OnePlus Nord 2T 5G – OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 Program
Only the Indian users of the Nord 2T 5G smartphone are eligible to apply for the program and do note that as this is the beta version, it won’t be stable enough and might carry both known and unknown issues in it. Even if the users will be able to experience the latest OxygenOS 14 on their devices, some of the features will be absent.
To speak of the changelogs, an upgraded Aquamorphic design along with Aquamorphic-themed ringtones and sound effects are part of the beta update. Improvements will also be brought to system stability, launch speed of apps, and smoothness in animation. Other improvements in cloud photo service by Google Photos, and in the photo-video permission management system are also there. A carbon tracking AOD will also be added to the device.
Some of the known issues include the disappearance of the lock screen charging animation and the absence of a music output card in the control center.
How to Apply for the Program?
Candidates who are interested in becoming a part of the OxygenOS 14 open beta program can go to the “Beta program” menu on “About device” in “Settings”, and can apply for it there. After reviewing the application, if found eligible, the update will be rolled out. It should be noted that only 5000 applicants will be selected in total and carrier models won’t be considered eligible.
Before updating, users should also ensure that there is at least 4GB of internal storage left within the device and that there is a 30% or more battery charge. In order to be considered eligible for the program, they will also have to update their device to the latest stable version of OxygenOS.
To roll back, users will be able to download the update package via OnePlus’ respective server page and then locally install it on their device.
