OnePLus launched the Nord CE 2 smartphone in Feb of 2022 and has already finished its 2 Android updates. However, it was launched with 2 Android updates and 3 Years of security updates, ending in February 2025. Today, there is one more update that has been released for this smartphone with the build number OxygenOS 13 F.53. The update has been rolled out for the Indian region only.
Changelog
As per the changelog, the update comes with the March 2024 Android security patch. The background stream feature has been removed via this update. For those who don’t know, it means you won’t be able to play background music or video after this update. Recently Xiaomi was also forced to remove the feature that allowed users to play videos in the background.
