OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G Smartphone Now Receiving Android 15 Based OxygenOS 15 Closed Beta Update

Last month in December 2024, OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone and other consumer electronics maker, announced its OxygenOS 15 closed beta program for the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G smartphone in the Indian market and was inviting 2,000 candidates to participate in the program. Now, it seems that the brand has started pushing the update to selected users, enabling them to access the latest features of the custom skin before the official version rolls out.

OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G – OxygenOS 15 Closed Beta Update

As mentioned, the OxygenOS 15 closed beta update for the Nord CE 3 Lite 5G smartphone is now available to the selected candidates, and it comes with the software version – ‘CPH2467_15.0.0.400(EX01)’ and has a size of 3.34 GB. It comes with an all-new and fresh design for users, and lets them enjoy a smoother, effortless, and seamless user experience. AI capabilities and other optimizations are also present to further improve the user experience.

Speaking more, optimizations have been made with the Luminous Rendering Effects, making certain changes in the rounded corner design by standardizing specifications and extending the application curvature. In Live Alerts, the design has been changed, focusing more on the information visualization side. Optimizations have also been brought on how users can interact with Live Alerts as well.

Coming to the Floating Window and Split View features, new Floating Window gestures have been introduced, along with re-sizable Split View windows. The Quick Settings window has also been re-designed, and a Split mode has been added for the Notification Drawer and Quick Settings. With OnePlus Share, files can also be transferred to iOS devices too.

On the battery and charging side, Charging Limit has been introduced in order to stop charging after hitting 80%. Battery Protection Reminder has also been introduced, to remind users to turn on Charging Limit. Other features include exclusive OxygenOS always-on-displays and lock screen clock styles, new home screen clock widget, 1+ Easter egg in calculator, optimized multi-tasking experience, and optimized app drawer. A new home screen entry for hidden apps has also been introduced.

Also, to keep in mind, even if the new update won’t cause any loss of data, it is best advised to backup the device first before updating. If any issues are faced by users post update, they may contact the brand’s customer service. Moreover, the update package will also be deleted once it is installed, ensuring that no unwanted storage space is consumed.
