OnePlus Open Users In India Receives New Update With March 2024 Android Security Patch

OnePlus has announced a new update for the OnePlus Open users in the India region. The update integrates the March 2024 security patch and brings new features and improvements for the users. The update can be identified by firmware version CPH2551_14.0.0.600(EX01). With such features and improvements it’s recommended to download the update over a Wi-Fi network as downloading over cellular data may incur some additional charges.

  • You can now create photo collages without frames in Photos.
  • Adds a “Partial screenshot” option in the Smart Sidebar.
  • You can now press and hold the Volume Down button to turn the flashlight on when the screen is off.
  • You can now enter the first letter of an app name to perform a fuzzy search from the Home screen search bar in Drawer mode.
  • You can now try out the “app-specific volume” feature to adjust the volume for individual apps based on your needs.
  • Improves the volume bar’s design for ease of use and visual consistency.

Camera

  • You can now switch between more focal lengths by tapping the zoom buttons.
  • You can now use the ultra-wide and telephoto cameras in XPAN mode.

  • You can now use the zoom wheel to switch between different zoom options when taking videos.

The update is being rolled out in batches so initially it will reach a small percentage of users and then will be rolled out on a broader basis. In case you come across any bug you can submit it by opening the Google Dialer and typing *#800#. You will find a menu that allows you to submit bugs
