OnePlus Pad receives the OxygenOS 13.1.0.592 update, includes cellular data sharing, June 2023 security patch and much more
This year marked the debut of the first ever tablet of OnePlus- the OnePlus Pad which launched as a mid-range Android tablet. At its reasonable pricing, the tablet offered a high refresh rate display, fast charging capability, and quality accessories, hence the company was able to impress a lot of its consumers with its first tablet. This latest tablet received its first firmware update two weeks ago and it has now received a new software update that includes improvements, fixing of a few issues, and the addition of cellular data sharing.
The company has started to release an incremental rollout of OxygenOS 13.1.0.592 for the OnePlus Pad. Initially, this latest update will be released to a few users today but the company has promised that they will begin a broader rollout in a few days. This latest update adds a new feature to the tablet that allows it to use a phone’s communication function to use a 5G network, make and answer calls, and send and receive SMS messages (except European models). This means that users can now seamlessly share cellular data from their OnePlus smartphones to their tablet expanding the tablet’s connectivity options.
Apart from this, the tablet has received June 2023 Android security patch to enhance system security. While various known bugs are also fixed with this software update like- an issue that might cause videos to turn black and white in certain scenarios is fixed, issues that occur when an external keyboard is connected are also fixed while some issues that affect the Photos app has been fixed. The latest update also improved the stability of the OnePlus Pad.
