OnePlus Releases the Android 14 Beta 2 Update for the OnePlus 11 Smartphone

OnePlus followed by the Android 14 Beta update has released the next, Android 14 Beta 2 Update for its latest OnePlus 11 smartphone. The beta update is for developers and for other advanced users.

The Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, OnePlus has released the next Android 14 Beta 2 update for its OnePlus 11 smartphone. The update is primarily aimed at developers and other advanced users but, for users who aren’t familiar with such updates, OnePlus advises its users not to flash the ROM on their devices.

The update also brings a few changes and fixes to some of the known issues on the device. The Android 14 Beta 2 update will fix the issue of red screen flashes while creating a new calendar or when switching to owner mode from guest mode and also fixes the issue with WLAN malfunctioning in some instances.

Some of the other known issues include an irresponsive home key on the lock screen of the camera page, the lock screen not lighting up while receiving a call, SIM 2 not hanging up while receiving calls on both SIMs, fingerprint unable to be added after deletion, unable to power-off in certain scenarios, preview interface freezing while taking pictures with WhatsApp camera will also be resolved.

Users must ensure that at least 30% of battery life is there on the device and that at least 4GB of internal storage is left. There is also a great chance of bricking and users must go through the instructions carefully and be fully sure before updating it. It should be noted that the carrier version of the OnePlus 11 smartphone will not be compatible with the Android 14 Beta 2 update.

Here’s how to update to the Android 14 Beta 2

In the European and Indian markets, the OnePlus 11 smartphone users who wish to update their devices will have to download the zip package of the update from the specified server and then should ensure that it is stored in the phone’s internal storage. Turn on developer mode after which, go to “About device” and click on “Up to date”. Then tap on the top right button and select “Local install”. Choose the installation package and then extract it and upgrade. Once the upgrade is complete, restart the smartphone and it will upgrade to the Android 14 Beta 2.

In the regions of North America, OnePlus 11 users after downloading the zip package will also have to install a OnePlus APK. After installing the APK file, open the application and then tap on the gear icon which is on the top right corner of the screen. Choose the installation package and wait until the installation is over and then select “Reboot”. Once the upgrade is complete, again click on restart, and after restarting, the device will be upgraded.
