OnePlus TV Q1 Smart TV Receives a New System Update: Android 11 OS Upgrade

OnePlus, the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, is reportedly rolling out a new system update for its TV Q1 smart TV. This update is said to upgrade the Android OS from version 9 to version 11.

OnePlus had decided to withdraw its television category in an attempt to focus more on smartphone devices, and both the production and selling of TV devices were discontinued last year. In a new turn of events, the brand has decided to roll out a new system update to one of its 2019-debuted smart TVs.

As mentioned, it is to the OnePlus TV Q1 that the brand is currently rolling out the update and it carries the firmware version of OPTVIN.2.A.01_GLO_082_2312290405, with a total size of 820MB.

Regarding the changelogs, the first notable change is the upgrade from Android version 9 to Android version 11. From what is understood from the shared image, the update will also enhance the security and privacy level of the device, and several apps will be updated to newer versions.

The OnePlus TV Q1 features a 55″ large almost bezel-less display panel having a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. It has the Gamma Color Magic picture processor with features such as a Black Crystal anti-glare screen, 480 smooth motion rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG compatibility.

The device also has a 50W quad 2.1CH speaker unit and an inbuilt woofer. Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD are some of the supported audio technologies.
