Yesterday it was officially announced by Oppo that ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 will be making its debut in China on 17th October, 2024. This upcoming software upgrade is expected to arrive with AI features, new design experience, and more.
Now ahead of the official launch of ColorOS 15, Oppo has officially confirmed that the devices that will be first launched with this latest custom skin are the Oppo Find X8 series and the OnePlus 13.
While the OnePlus 13 is already said to be under work, today Oppo has also announced that the Oppo Find X8 series will be launched in China on 24th October which is just a few days after the launch of ColorOS 15. Oppo Find X8 series is also confirmed to be powered by the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC.
ColorOS 15: Expected Features
As per a previous report, ColorOS 15 is expected to support the iOS Airdrop feature that will make transferring files and pictures to iOS devices easier. ColorOS 15 is also said to arrive with a Live Photo feature that enables the device to record what happens 1.5 seconds before and 1.5 seconds after you’ve taken a picture.
Apart from this, it is also said to include an iOS-style Control Center, a dynamic Island feature, enhanced animations, and UI Changes. Since this latest custom skin will be based on Android 15 it is also expected to come with several Android 15 features as well.
