The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has started the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 program for its devices. Many OnePlus smartphones are already a part of this program and today OnePlus 10R has also joined the list.

This program is for now started for Indian users only while the brand has also warned the users that since this is the very first Open Beta build it may include both known and unknown issues. However, if the users are ready to bear the potential risks and are ready to experience new features and improvements that the OxygenOS 14 Beta version has to offer then they can register themselves for the program.
OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1: New features and improvements
Some of the features include an upgraded Aquamorphic design with a natural, gentle, and clearer color style, Aquamorphic-themed ringtones and revamped system notification sound, carbon tracking AOD that visualizes the carbon emissions, and support for app-specific refresh rates.
This build arrives with numerous improvements like an improved Clone phone for quicker new device verification and data migration, improved cloud photo service, improved photo and video-related permission management, improved system stability, launch speed of apps, and smoothness of animations.
Before upgrading to OxygenOS 14 Beta 1, users need to keep in mind the following points
- In order to upgrade to this build successfully, be sure that your device is in the latest OxygenOS 13.1 version.
- These instructions are only for the OnePlus 10R. Please make sure the battery level is above 30% and a minimum of 4 GB of storage space is available.
- Carrier version devices (TMO/Verizon) aren’t compatible with the Open beta builds.
How to apply?
- Time of Application: From November 6 until a certain number of applications is reached (you must submit your application during this time, or the application channel will be closed)
- Quota: 5000 users
- Confirm your phone has been updated to the detectable version:

- Go to Settings > About device > Tap up to date > Tap icon on the top right > Beta program > Follow the steps to apply
- When to receive version: we will review your application within 5 workdays after the application channel is closed. If you pass the review, you will receive the version in the 3 workdays that follow.
- How to download the version after the application passes: Settings > About device > Download Now.
