OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 Update Now Available for OnePlus 10T Smartphone
The Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus, has opened the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 program to one more of its flagship devices in India. Interested users can register to be a part of it.
Here’s more about it.
OnePlus 10T – OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 Program
OnePlus 10T smartphone users of India who have been waiting for the OxygenOS 14 open beta 1 update can now apply to experience the latest custom skin before its stable version is rolled out. But do note, as this is the beta version, it won’t be as stable as the stable versions of OxygenOS, and might have both known and unknown issues in it.
About some of the identified issues within the open beta, the dark mode may not work for some apps, and there maybe a failure in screen mirroring when multi-screen connect is used. While on a call, the screen might also not turn off, when lifted to the ear.
The changelogs include improvements in system stability, launch speed of apps and smoothness in animations, improved cloud photo service in Google Photos, upgraded Aquamorphic design, Aquamorphic themed ringtones and revamped system notification sounds, and a carbon tracking AOD.
Application Process/Update Process
To apply, users can simply go to the “Beta program” option on “About device” in “Settings”, and submit the application following the necessary steps. If found eligible, the update will be rolled out in the next three days. Before applying, ensure that the device is updated to the latest version of the OxygenOS, and before updating, 30% battery life and 4GB internal space should be left within the device.
For those users who want to roll back to the previous stable version, they will be able to locally install it after downloading the stable version from the respective OnePlus server.
Feedback
To submit feedback regarding the issues or bugs that were encountered, users can dial “*#800#” on Google Dialer, and will be able to submit it in the pop-up window which appears.
