OxygenOS 15.0.0.400 Rolls Out for OnePlus 12R With AI Features and Camera Upgrades

While we are in January of 2025, OnePlus is now rolling out a fresh OxygenOS 15.0.0.400 update with December 2024 Security patch for the OnePlus 12R users in the India region. Other regions are also in the pipeline, though there’s no exact confirmation about their release timeline. The update is currently in its rollout phase and comes with firmware version CPH2585_15.0.0.400(EX01).

This feature-packed update offers new AI features and adds Fresh, Emerald, and Clear film filters to Photo mode and Portrait mode. Just yesterday, I received the OxygenOS 15 Closed Beta update on my Nord CE 3 Lite, and I really like the live update capsule. With this update, users will be able to see charging information and flashlight status in the live updates. Additionally, users can now drag a floating window to expand it to full screen. The update also resolves issues with existing icons on the status bar when a Live Alerts capsule is displayed.

In the changelog below, you can see all the new changes coming up with this new update.

  • Introduces the AI Reply feature to recommend replies based on the chat context with support for diverse language styles, making the responses more natural.

  • Introduces the AI rewrite feature to extend, shorten, expand, and edit your text and modify the style for more efficient and inspired writing.

Since it is in the rollout phase, some users may get it early. If you haven’t received it yet, don’t worry, as the complete rollout typically takes 1-2 weeks.

In the same community thread, one user reported issues with the AI reply feature. While some users offered suggestions about whether it works on messaging, Gmail, or Google apps, it appears the feature is not working on the Indian version of OnePlus 12R.
