OxygenOS 15.0.0.700 for OnePlus Open Brings Folder Resizing, Widget Optimisation, and March 2025 Security Patch

OnePlus has started rolling out a new software update for the OnePlus Open, introducing several system improvements, enhanced widget customisation options, and the latest Android security patch. The incremental rollout of OxygenOS 15.0.0.700 is currently live in the IN region, with the company confirming a broader release in the coming days.
The Indian build is labelled CPH2551_15.0.0.700(EX01). OnePlus stated, “We are starting to push an incremental rollout of the OxygenOS 15.0.0.700 update for the OnePlus Open. This update is already rolling out in the IN region, and we will keep you posted on the progress in the thread.”
Key Changes in the Update
System
- Adds an option to rename an app group by touching and holding its shortcut on the Home screen.
- Folders on the Home screen can be resized by dragging to 1×2 or 2×1.
- Improves the animation for notifications and Quick Settings for a smoother experience.
- Adds an option to adjust the size and appearance of 2×2 third-party widgets on the Home screen for visual consistency. This option is available from “Settings – Home screen & Lock screen – Optimize widget appearance”.
- Improves the widget design for Zomato and Blinkit in Shelf to better communicate the app status.
- Improves the music player controls in Live Alerts for Spotify.
- Integrates the March 2025 Android security patch to enhance system security.
Security & privacy
- Improves the process for resetting your privacy password. You will be prompted to link to your privacy password to your account. If you forget your privacy password, you can use your account to reset your password and regain access to your private data.
Communication
- Improves Wi-Fi network switching and mobile data roaming for a more seamless experience.
