Realme GT Smartphone Now Eligible to Receive Realme UI 5.0 Early Access Version in India

The Chinese smartphone maker, Realme, has made its GT smartphone model eligible for the brand’s Android 14 based Realme UI 5.0 early access version in the Indian region. The update will let Indian users of the smartphone to experience the latest features of the Realme UI 5.0 custom skin.

The application channel to apply for the Realme GT Realme UI 5.0 early access version is already live and users who are interested can start applying for it. However, the applications will only be reviewed in batches and only a limited number of seats are available. The early access version of the Realme UI 5.0 custom skin which is based on the Android 14 operating system is also not a stable version of the custom skin, but a beta version, and it might be carrying both known and unknown issues in it.

Users must make sure that their devices are not rooted, and it is best advised not to download and install it in primary devices. Also, ensure that the device has at the least 60% battery charge and 15GB storage left before updating to avoid any chance for update failures. As certain applications are still not compatible with Android 14, users may face compatibility issues too.

Speaking of the changelogs, upgraded Aquamorphic design, improved system animations, improvements for system stability, launch speed of apps, and smoothness of animations, enhanced photo and video related permission management system, more widget recommendations in Shelf, and added Fluid Cloud, Smart Cutout, and carbon tracking AOD are part of the update.

Some of the known issues are the problems with slide desktop while enabling floating windows, and the unavailability of Glance lock screen. The slide desktop issue can easily be fixed by pulling down the status bar, while the Glance lock screen will be introduced later.

To report of any issues or bugs that were encountered, feedback can be submitted on logkit. Also if the user wish to roll-back to the previous Realme UI stable version, they may download the zip package from the respective Realme server and locally install it.
