ROG Will Be Rolling Out New BIOS Updates For Intel 13th/ 14th Gen Processors Starting From Mid-August

For the past few months, users have been reporting instability issues on Intel 13th & 14th Gen processors. Taking these reports into consideration, Intel started an investigation on this matter and found out that the elevated operating voltage is causing instability issues.

The company thus issued an official statement that it will be releasing a microcode patch which will address the root cause of exposure to elevated voltages. Yesterday ROG has also officially announced that the company will be rolling out new BIOS updates for Intel 13th/14th Gen processors starting from mid-August.

ROG is currently working with Intel to prepare a new BIOS based on the updated microcode (0X129) to address the elevated voltage issue. These BIOS updates will be released starting from next week in the global markets.

Apart from ASUS ROG, MSI will also be releasing the latest BIOS updates with 0X129 microcode to Intel 700 and 600 series motherboards and 14th/13th Gen Desktop PC to mitigate the instability issue. MSI will be releasing the first batch of BIOS soon in the coming weeks by the end of August.
