Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra receives October 2023 security patch

Samsung has rolled out an October 2023 security update to the Galaxy S23 Ultra users. This is being rolled out in select regions and is expected to roll out on a broader basis soon. The update has already reached the S22 series users.

The update comes with the firmware version S918BXXS3AWIF/S918BOLE3AWGJ/S918BXXS3AWIF. It is 382.65 MB large and is suggested to download over Wi-Fi as downloading over cellular data may incur some additional charges.

The update only brings the October 2023 security patch thus improving the overall stability and fixing security vulnerabilities found in the previous version with some enhanced and new features. You can check for the update by navigating to Settings> Software update > and tapping Download and Install.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with a 6.8-inch wide dynamic AMOLED display that sports a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1200 nits of peak brightness. It runs Android 13 One UI 5.1 onboard. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor paired with the Adreno 740 GPU.

The camera section includes a 200 MP wide camera on the rear with a 10 MP + 10 MP + 12 MP Ultrawide camera. The front side has a 12 MP selfie camera. The device is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging.
