As mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy S25 smartphone (12GB RAM) with the model number – ‘SM-S931B’ has appeared on the Geekbench database, and the database points out that this Geekbench-listed device runs on the Android 16 operating system – probably with the next One UI 8 custom skin on top. Notably, on the single-core and multi-core tests, the smartphone has scored 3135 points and 9938 points respectively, higher than its previous Geekbench scores (2986; 9355).

The tipster who has shared the update also mentioned the build version of the Android 16 based One UI 8 custom skin running on it – ‘S931BXXU1BYC5’.

Just to add, previously the first One UI 8 test build for the Galaxy S25 series was spotted as well, and the recent update reiterates that the development of the One UI 8 custom skin based on the Android 16 OS is progressing quickly. Also to note, earlier updates had also pointed out that the brand could skip the One UI 7.1 update and directly release the One UI 8 custom skin. The release is also said to take place while the One UI 7 roll-out drags on.

About the One UI 7 official stable version roll-out, it is announced to start from next month on the 7th of April 2025. In the Indian market, the roll-out will start on the same day itself, while in the US market it would only be rolling out from the 10th of April 2025 onward.

Stay tuned for more.
