One UI 6.0 Update
Samsung will start working on its next-generation custom user interface, the One UI 6.0 once the Android 14 OS is available for AOSP(Android Open Source Project), and as per what is expected, Google might launch the stable Android 14 for AOSP in July. If this is true, then One UI 6.0’s beta test will likely start in August, and in two months its stable version can be expected.
The One UI 6.0 is expected to bring in both Android and Samsung’s custom UI features and will likely offer more new features and many more customization options. Some of the expected features include bigger fonts with non-linear scaling, satellite connectivity, per-app language preferences, and many more.
Now regarding the first devices that are to receive the update, Samsung usually rolls out its new custom UI first to the newly launched flagship devices and as per that, the newly launched S23 series devices which include the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and the S23 Ultra are among the first to receive the update. It will then be rolled out to the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 devices, after which will be rolled out to other older S, Z, and Note series devices.
It might only be after this, Samsung will start rolling the update to its other mid-range and entry-level smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy A34 and the Galaxy A54 might be the first mid-range devices to get the update followed by the others.
