Vivo announced Android 14 Beta Program for Developers on Vivo X90 Pro and iQOO 11
With each passing day, smartphone companies are rolling out the Android 14 beta 1 upgrade for various models. Recently we reported about the Oppo N2 Flip smartphone which was the first foldable to receive an Android 14 Beta 1 upgrade. Now Vivo has announced the Android 14 Beta 1 Program for the developers. This update is available on Vivo X90 Pro and iQOO 11 smartphones in Southeast Asia. This announcement has been made by Vivo in a release in which it mentioned that the “program provides vivo developers with early access to the latest Android experience, enabling them to try out the new features and improve the compatibility of their applications”.
What does this upgrade bring?
This upgrade is going to bring some notable features like optimized resource management, improved battery life, enhanced security and privacy, and more personalization and accessibility features. This upgrade simplifies the background processes by optimizing how applications are activated in order to improve the phone’s resource management and battery life. Apart from clocks and calendar apps, all newly installed apps will have to ask for permission from the user before scheduling exact alarms that used to consume device battery and resources at once.
With this upgrade new permission confirmation pop-up will allow users to give partial access to photos and video. Users can even deny the app access. This update also adds up new accessibility and personalization with regional preferences set up for temperature units, and nonlinear font scaling to 200%.
