The Chinese consumer electronics maker, Vivo, following the debut of its X200 series devices in its home market, very recently also made two models available to its global consumers as well and now, the brand has rolled out the very first system update to the X200 Pro global model. From what has been revealed, the update will be bringing few optimizations along with the latest Google security patch.

Here’s more about it.

Vivo X200 Pro – New System Update Rolling Out in Global Market

This new Funtouch OS 15 system update that is being rolled out to the global consumers of the Vivo X200 Pro smartphone has the firmware version – ‘PD2405F_EX_A_15.0.9.23.W30’ and has a size of 485MB. As noted above, notably the December 2024 Google security patch will be integrated with the update, further improving the system security.

Other optimizations include compatibility with certain car kits, enhanced standby power consumption to improve battery life, and improvements in Albums to assure better system security.

As always, users must keep in mind that while the update process won’t cause any data loss, it is best advised to backup the device before updating. Also, during the update process, more battery charge may be consumed and the device temperature is likely to increase. After updating, when the device is charging and in idle state, battery optimizations will take place which will further improve user experience, and on the other hand, post-update, the temperature will slowly drop on its own. The downloaded installation package will be deleted automatically after the update process, ensuring that no storage space is unwantedly consumed.

Also to add, if Vivo plans to adopt the same approach which was used for the previous X100 series models, more system updates can be expected for the X200 series devices too.
