Vivo X200 Pro To Receive An OTA Update Before 20th November In China For Main Camera Glare Issue: Confirms Vivo Vice President
Last month Vivo officially unveiled its latest Vivo X200 series in its home country China. The series included Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro smartphones. Few days after the release of these devices in the country, Vivo X200 Pro users started raising complaints about excessive lens glares when using the main camera. The users have also posted images regarding their issue while capturing a video or a photo.
Vivo’s Vice President, Huang Tao has addressed this issue of users and has explained the reason behind this shooting glare phenomenon on Weibo. It is said that the glare problem raised by users belongs to a very extreme off-screen glare, that is the glare formed by strong incident light outside the framing range. Also, it is revealed that the Vivo X200 Pro off-screen glare phenomenon is more obvious due to two reasons- first is related to f/1.57 large aperture design and second is related to Vivo’s coating technology strategy. It is also mentioned that though the Vivo X200 Pro did not handle the problem of off-screen glare well, it is still the best imaging phone.
Huang has also apologized to the users facing this issue. At the same time, he also assured the Vivo X200 Pro users that an OTA will be released to optimize shooting glare in specific scenes. This OTA version is said to be released before 20th November in China.
