Vivo’s OriginOS to Integrate DeepSeek R1 to its BlueLM Model, Enhancing AI Performance One Step Further
The Chinese smartphone brand, Vivo, has now announced its deep fusion or integration with DeepSeek, bringing more AI capabilities to its OriginOS custom skin. Vivo and iQOO branded smartphone users in China would be able to make use of the new AI capabilities once the full integration is complete.

Vivo x DeepSeek Integration Announced
As per what Vivo has officially shared via its OriginOS Weibo handle, the brand will be integrating its OriginOS custom skin with DeepSeek. The BlueLM AI model will be integrated with the DeepSeek R1 large language model. The brand reveals that with the dual engine capabilities bringing BlueLM and DeepSeek R1 together, the AI experience on OriginOS is made more powerful, taking its intelligence one step further.
From what can be understood, AI capabilities such as AI image generation, AI text creation, AI Q&A, and more are some of the features that can be expected or which will be improved with this integration. So far, Vivo hasn’t announced a date when it plans to complete the full integration, however, it is most likely to happen soon. Once the integration is complete, Chinese users of Vivo and iQOO smartphones can make use of the OriginOS dual-engine AI capabilities.
In related news, distilled DeepSeek R1 models were reported to arrive on Copilot+ PCs too. Moreover, Vivo is also preparing for the launch of the V50 smartphone in the Indian market on the 17th of February 2025 and its landing pages on Amazon, Flipkart, and Vivo’s official India website are already live.
