On the Release Preview Channel, Microsoft has updated the build for Windows 11 Insiders. The updated build 22000.829 (KB5015882) includes a number of bug fixes in addition to some new capabilities, such as the ability for eligible devices to update to a more recent version of Windows 11 during the out-of-box experience (OOBE) following the initial sign-in.
The updates and modifications are as follows:
- We gave you the option to agree to receive urgent notifications when focus assist is activated.
- When you initially sign in, during the out-of-box experience (OOBE), we gave eligible devices the choice to update to a newer version of Windows 11. The update procedure will start as soon as the update is downloaded and installed on your device, if you decide to update to a newer version.
- For Windows Autopilot deployment scenarios that are impacted by the security mitigation for hardware reuse, we restored functionality. The one-time usage restriction for self-deploying mode (SDM) and pre-provisioning was eliminated with this version (PP). Additionally, for authorised manufacturers, this upgrade permitted any User Principal Name (UPN) display in user-driven mode (UDM) deployments.
- We corrected a bug in UIAutomation() that prevented an application from functioning.
- We resolved a problem that prevented some apps from using the Startup Task API as intended.
- After an OS upgrade, we increased the resiliency of a push-button reset.
- We resolved a problem that prevented removal of the EN-US language pack from allowing access to the tenant limitations event logging channel.
- We resolved a problem that might, under certain conditions, result in the failure of certificate-based machine account authentication when you apply the security updates for May 10, 2022 to domain controllers.
- We resolved a problem that affected Arm64EC programmes created with the Windows 11 Software Development Kit (SDK).
- The Remove-Item cmdlet has been upgraded to work correctly with Microsoft OneDrive folders.
- A problem that prevents troubleshooters from opening has been resolved.
- We resolved a problem that prevented containers from having consistent port mapping.
- We resolved a problem that led Code Integrity to maintain its trust in a file even after it had been changed.
- When you enable Windows Defender Application Control with the Intelligent Security Graph feature enabled, there was a bug that might stop Windows from functioning, but we fixed it.
- Devices were given access to search highlights. Go to C:WindowsPolicyDefinitions and look for admx to obtain the policy for search highlights on a device that has the July 2022 monthly quality update or the June 2022 cumulative update preview installed. For your convenience, we will soon upload an updated version of the Administrative Templates (.admx) for Windows 11 to the Microsoft Download Center. This version is 21H2.
- When you press the play and pause keyboard buttons on some devices, exe would cease functioning until the problem was fixed.
- When you use the exe programme, we corrected a problem that prevented it from working.
- When you hover over the search icon on the taskbar, a problem that causes a blank window to open that you can’t shut has been fixed.
- In instances with numerous threads competing for a single file and large input/output operations per second (IOPS), we decreased the overhead of resource contention.
- We resolved a problem that intermittently prevented the Windows profile service from functioning. The failure could happen during registration. “gpsvc service failed to sign in,” reads the error notice. Access is refused.
