Recently we were looking up to Xiaomi rolling out MIUI 14 for the smartphones and now we have got a new update on it.
Xiaomi seems to have dropped the plan to release MIUI 14.5 update to stay up to date with the latest Android version. This has been reported by Xiaomiui in its report. Undoubtedly it is motivated by Xiaomi’s aim to expedite the adaptation process to Android 14.
Android 14 being the latest version brings advancement in terms of security, performance, and user experiences which require Xiaomi to veer its focus from MIUI 14.5 to MIUI 15 for significant development and testing that it needs. Overall it can be said that now the company will have more time, resources, and focus dedicated to the development of the MIUI 15. This will help Xiaomi to maximize the benefits that MIUI 15 brings by being optimized for the new Android version.
As per the reports around it, Xiaomi can bring Android 13-based MIUI 15 also. We have seen earlier Xiaomi delivering newer MIUI based on gen old Android platforms for older smartphones.
